Housing Charges / Cancellation Policy

Returning students who terminate their housing contract up to 7 days prior to the start of the academic year will incur a $350 Contract Breakage Penalty plus forfeit their $50 housing deposit.  Returning students who terminate their housing contract after that time will be assessed a $700 Contract Breakage Penalty and will forfeit their $50 housing deposit.  If a returning student terminates their housing contract beginning the first day of the academic year or after, then charges will also be assessed in one week increments for the time that school has been in session.

First-time students canceling their housing contract prior to August 20, 2004 will receive a full reduction of housing charges except that they will forfeit the $50 housing deposit.  First-time students canceling housing after August 20, 2004 should consult the Residence Life Office for the applicable cancellation policies.  Notification of housing applications by first-year students must be in writing and submitted to the Office of Admissions.  First-year students are required to live in campus housing.  First-year students who are exempt from living on campus must have a notarized waiver on file, or housing charges may be assessed to their student account.
