Meal plans for the residence hall cafeterias are available to off-campus students. The purchase of an off-campus meal plan will be available online as of August 1, 2009. You may access the website by clicking on the "Off-Campus Meal Plan" link in the My Accounts channel on the Student tab in TruView, or the meal plan may be purchased at the Cashier Window in the Business Office, McClain Hall 105.
For the 2009-2010 academic year, the off campus rate will be $1,075.00 per semester. This payment will provide a choice of one of four options: 20 meals per week (dining halls only/no transferability/no dining dollars/no sharing meals); 210 meals with $50 in Dining Dollars; 165 meals with $100 Dining Dollars; or 140 meals with $150 Dining Dollars. The Dining Dollars are for flex spending on food items (except in Main Street between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. daily).
The Bonus Bucks program is another option for students who want to purchase food or additional meals in the residence hall dining rooms or the Student Union Building. Bonus Bucks may also be used to purchase items in the campus convenience stores. Bonus Bucks are sold in increments of $25, $50, or $100 in the food service contractor's office in the Student Union Building.
Students who have excess Truman Academic Scholarships may use up to $200 per semester to apply toward the purchase of Bonus Bucks or up to $1,075.00 for an off-campus meal plan. The meal plan may be purchased online in TruView (instructions above). The Bonus Bucks purchased with excess Truman Academic Scholarships must be arranged at the Cashier Window.
